Cold wave prevails in Orissa

Pune, Dec 17 (UNI) Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Orissa, while night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Konkan, south Madhya Maharashtra and of Telangana and were below normal in some parts of Vidarbha, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and of Kerala and in remaining parts of Orissa.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh and were above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram Tripura and in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh and of Uttaranchal. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Jammu and Kashmir from where the data were sparse.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar. Mainly dry weather prevailed in Lakshadweep.
