Book fairs to be organised in State

Bhopal, Dec 17: In a bid to boost reading culture, book fairs would be organised in every district of Madhya Pradesh beginning from January 26, 2007.

Minister of State for School Education Paras Jain said teachers of more than one lakh schools would be able to buy books of their choices during these fairs.

The two-day book fairs ' Pustak ka sansar: apke dwar' will start on January 26, 2007 in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior. The fairs would be organised in every district by March 1, 2007.

Learning materials such as charts, globes, maps and other scientific-use materials would be available during the fair.

He said district collectors had been provided responsibility to organise these fairs.
