BJP calls for 'hartal' in Thrissur tomorrow

Thrissur, Dec 17 (UNI) The BJP district committee has called for a dawn-to-dusk 'hartal' in this district tomorrow to protest against the death of a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activist today.

Thirty-year-old Sujith, who was injured in a clash between CPM and Yuva Morcha workers on Friday, succumbed to injuries at the Amritha Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi. Two other Yuva Morcha workers injured in the clash were hospitalised here in a critical condition.

The body of Sujith, brought to his native place Eangandyoor after post-morten at the Thrissur Medical College hospital was kept at the BJP office here for workers to pay homage.

The cremation would be held this evening.
