Babulal Marandi is against secularism: Stephen Marandi

Dumka, Dec 17 (UNI) Accusing Jharkhand's former Chief Minister and president of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Democratic) Babulal Marandi of not being ''secular'' Deputy Chief Minister and leader of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Secular) Stephen Marandi today said that Babulal still had connection with RSS.

Mr Stephen Marandi said ''Babulal Marandi was surrounded by the believers of BJP and RSS and people of those ideology were attached with JVM (D).'' Addressing a paty workers meeting here, Mr Marandi said he was forced to part his ways with Babulal when the latter expressed his wish to merge the JVM with his Bharat Vikas Morcha.

Speaking on the objetive of JVM (S), Mr Marandi said he always advocated secularism and would try to bring all the secular minded people on a single platform.

He said holding panchayat election was in the agenda of his party, adding the UPA led state government had initiated steps this direction.

Mr Marandi said state government would soon come up with a displacement and rehabilitation policy.
