24/7 water supply not intended for privatisation:Commissioner

Dharwad, Dec 17 (UNI) Hubli-Dharwad City Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Commissioner P Manivannan today clarified and assured the people of the twin city that drinking water supply 24/7 in some wards was not intended towards privatization of drinking water supply.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that there was no proposal before the corporation to increase the water rates in the twin city. But a decision to this effect would be taken at a public meeting of the citizen scheduled on January Six.
