TDP to move privilege motion against CM
Hyderabad, Dec 16 (UNI) Telugu Desam party (TDP) Senior Leader and Andhra Pradesh former Minister N Janardhan Reddy today said the party would give a notice to Speaker K R Suresh Reddy to move a privilege motion against Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for misleading the Assembly on the issue of land holding by him and his family members.
Talking to newspersons here, the TDP leader claimed that the Chief Minister had told the state assembly that the 'DKT and assigned lands were purchased by his father.
The fact is that Dr Reddy has purchased some of the lands in question when he was the leader of the Opposition and later the Chief Minister of the state in violation of the law, he alleged.
Stating that the CM's statments in the House amounted to breach of privilege of the House, the TDP leader said his party would move privilege motion against Dr Reddy.
Demanding the resignation of Dr Reddy on the grounds that he possessed lands illegally, the TDP leader contended that the Chief Minister has no right to continue in office.
