Sugar prices declines on poor demand
Mumbai, Dec 16 (UNI) Sugar prices declined on poor demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said today.
Sugar in small and medium grades came down by Rs 10 and Rs two per quintal respectively on lack of fresh demand.
Sugar in ex-mill small grade eased by Rs five per quintal on thin buying support, while medium grade went up by Rs two per quintal reduced stock supply.
Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,587/1,635, Medium grade: Rs 1,630/1,712, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,580/1,600, Medium grade: Rs 1,615/1,670.
