One shot dead in Kohima

Kohima, Dec 16: A person was shot dead by unidentified gunmen this morning in the heart of the Nagaland capital opposite the MLA hostel.

Police recovered the body, which bore two shots, and took it to the North Police station for identification.

The victim was reportedly purchasing shoes in a shop, when he was shot from point blank range.

Police suspected that the incident might be related to insurgency.

Investigation was on to nab the criminals.
