Bhavani Deeksha by three lakh devotees ends

Vijayawada, Dec 16 (UNI) About three lakh devotees ended their 40-day 'Bhavani Deeksha' at Sri Durga Malleswaraswami temple atop Indrakeeladri hill here today.

A Devasthanam official told UNI that about three lakh 'Bhavanis' ended their 'Deeksha' from December 11 to 15.

The devotees, after taking a holy dip in river Krishna, went round the hill performing 'Giripradakshan' before worshipping Goddess Kanakadurga.

Later, they offered 'Erumudi' in the 'Homa Gundam', errected by the temple authorities.
