Two Women killed and 25 other injured in a road mishap

Davanagere, Dec 15 (UNI) Two women, including a teen-aged girl, were killed on the spot and 25 others injured when a tractor trailer in which they were traveling overturned near Devarahalli, about 50 km from here last night.

Police said that the mishap occurred when the victims were returning to their village Devarahalli after offering pooja in a nearby village.

The deceased were identified as Lalithamma (35) Vijaya (13).

The injured have been admitted to Channagiri hospital.

Superintendent of Police Sonia Narang visited the spot and supervised rescue operation.
