Two US Marines killed in combat in Iraq's Anbar

BAGHDAD, Dec 15 (Reuters) Two US Marines have been killed in Iraq's volatile Anbar province, heartland of the Sunni insurgency, the U.S.

military today said.

The military said in a statement that the two died from wounds sustained in combat yesterday. It gave no further details.

Their deaths bring to 2,940 the number of US soldiers killed in Iraq since the US invasion in 2003.
