Tonny Harris to invest 10 million dollars in Indian centre
New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) US-based IT service provider Torry Harris Business Solutions today said it will invest close to 10 million dollars in its Indian Development Center at Bangalore in the coming year.
The investment would be used to further fuel the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) capacity, to cater to increasing customer demands and growth plans.
The announcement comes after the setting up of a R&D cell for Service Oriented Architecture recently, constituting a major part of the company's workforce in Bangalore.
The investment would be internally generated and is an extension to the 1.2 million dollars already dedicated to the SOA drive.
''Our India Development Centre is consistently outperforming and this investment shows our commitment to high-end work held at the Centre,'' said Torry Harris Business Solutions Chief Operating officer Ashwin Krishna.
He further added, ''The centre in Bangalore is already the biggest worldwide and we are looking at increasing the headcount by atleast 500 in the coming year. We are recruiting graduates as well as highly skilled technologists to build on our SOA-centric skill-base.'' According to the company's Regional Technical Manager (Europe) Shuba Sridhar, ''We are looking at forming a 'partner ecosystem' with several major SOA product developers in the US and Europe, to offer our clients a combination of the best SOA software products in the market and our unrivalled expertise in onsite-offshore SOA implementation.'' Th company has already implemented major international projects using the SOA approach for government agencies in the West Asia and a credit insurance major in Netherlands. Implementation Services offered by Torry Harris include component design, development, testing and governance.
