Three gangsters of Chhota Rajan gang arrested
Mumbai, Dec 15 (UNI) Three alleged gangsters, owing allegiance to Africa-based fugitive Chhota Rajan syndicate, were apprehended today by the police in suburban Andheri here.
Rajan, who is widely belived to have taken refuge in the African continent after an attack on his life in Bangkok, is said to be making efforts to re-organise his gang in the city through a series of planned strikes.
The gangsters -- Girish Shah, Umed Khan and Rao -- were nabbed from D N Nagar area in Andheri, after a team spotted them with an imported revolver early this morning, police sources said.
According to D N Nagar police station Inspector Pradeep Sharma, the trio was allegedly planning to carry out an execution of an unidentified city-based business at the behest of the Rajan gang when they were cornered and arrested.
Earlier, the police had arrested four hitmen of the Rajan gang in connection with the Kala-Goda shoot out. During interrogation, the police learnt about the latest plan, Sharma added.
