TCS to increase headcount in Uruguay centre

New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), BPO arm of Tata Group, today announced it is expanding its global delivery centre in Uruguay and will increase the headcount by 250.

The expansion will support the rapid expansion of TCS's Latin American business and proactively lower risk for its clients by providing an alternative back-up site in Uruguay.

''As we expand our operations in Latin America, which now comprise centres in Uruguay, Brazil and Chile, we will continue to invest in infrastructure and people,'' TCS Executive Vice President and Head (Global Sales and Operations) N Chandrasekaran said in a statement.

TCS provides services to over 40 clients across Latin America and the United States using its existing global delivery centre in Uruguay, where it now has an employee strength of about 800.
