Senior Police officer, 4 others held for immoral activities

Kannur, Kerala, Dec 15 (UNI) A senior police officer and four others were taken into custody for their alleged involvement in immoral activities near Thaliparamba in the district last night.

Superintendent of Police Mathew Polycarp told UNI that District DSP, posted at the Crime Records Bureau, K Radhakrishan and the others were taken into custody based on information from the local people about their alleged involvement in immoral activites at a house in Kuvode near here.

The accused, including police driver K P Santosh, taxi driver K V Vijayan, garment traders K Rajesh and P Ammini, who were allegedly manhandled by the people yesterday, were shifted to hospital for treatment, he said.

He said a case was registered and they would be produced before the magistrate after their discharge from the hospital.
