Sanjay Leela Bhansali moves HC to quash case related to 'Black'
Mumbai, Dec 15 (UNI) Film Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali today moved the Bombay High Court seeking quashing of the chargesheet in a case pertaining to destruction of antique furniture provided by Farida Hoosenally for the shooting of 'Black', in September last year.
Justice Abhay Oka adjourned the matter to January 16 for further hearing and ordered that a copy of the petition be served to Ms Hoosenally.
Bhansali and others have been charged with criminal negligence for causing a loss of Rs two crore.
Rakesh Tiwari, counsel for Ms Hoosenally, however, said ''Mr Bhansali had filed for the anticipatory bail in this case before the High Court and was granted the same without us being heard.
Now, he has come for quashing of the chargesheet against him without serving us the copy of the petition once more.'' Ms Hoosenally, an antique furniture dealer, had filed a complaint with the Magistrate of the Borivali Metropolitan Court then and the trial is pending before the same.
