Rs 46.5 lakh looted from Indian Bank employees near Anand

Anand, Dec 15 (UNI) Two motorbike-borne assailants today looted Rs 46.5 lakh cash from two employees of Indian Bank, who were carrying the cash in a car, from Anand to its Vadodara branch, near Samarkha chowki here.

The incident occurred at about 1700 hrs when the two suspects came near the car and opened fire, injuring the driver. As the employees sitting behind, came out to check the driver, the two criminals fled with the car.

A red alert has been sounded in the neighbouring areas to nab the culprits, police said.
