None from AP killed in Dubai mishap, says Minister

Hyderabad, Dec 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Information Minister Mohd Ali Shabeer Ali today denied reports that 30 construction workers, hailing from the state, who migrated to Dubai had been killed in a mishap yesterday.

Making a statement in the Assembly, the Minister said on directions from Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara reddy he contacted the Dubai Consul General who said none from Andhra Pradesh was killed or injured in the mishap.

One person who was killed was from North India and the injured were mainly from Indonesia and other countries.

Media reports said 30 migrants from two districts, of the state were killed when a bus carrying 60 workers of Albaraha Company met with an accident on the Jebel Ali Fourth Bridge in Dubai.
