Nine of a family killed in road accident in TN

Chennai, Dec 15 (UNI) Nine members of a family were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Kovalam check post on the East Coast Road (ECR) this afternoon.

Police sources said the deceased included three men, three women and three children. The mishap occurred around 1400 hrs.

Kancheepuram District Superintendent of Police Amalraj and Mamallapuram DSP Soundararajan have rushed to the spot.

Traffic on the ECR road was affected following the accident.
