New born found abandoned in train

Coimbatore, Dec 15: A new born infant was found abandoned in the toilet of a passenger train at Pothanur railway station near here late last night.

Railway sources said the baby boy, wrapped in a jute bag, was found in the Bodinayakanur-Pothanur passenger train, when a passenger heard the infant's cry.

Later, the railway authorities handed over the infant to Coimbatore Medical College.
