NC asks Baigh, Mir to leave PDP
Srinagar, Dec 15 (UNI) The National Conference (NC), the main opposition party in Jammu and Kashmir, today attacked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying the ruling coalition partner stood ''exposed'' for its anti-people policies.
In a statement here, an NC spokesman claimed that there were differences within the PDP over the land lease issue.
He said the PDP was now trying to lean on flimsy supports to save itself from the public ire and anger.
The spokesman asked senior PDP leaders Muzaffar Hussain Baigh and Ghulam Hassan Mir to immediately part ways with the party as they were Cabinet ministers when the land lease issue came to the fore and did not even utter a word against it.
