Naxals kill youth in Gadchiroli district
Nagpur, Dec. 15 (UNI) Suspected Naxalites killed a 19-year-old youth by slitting his throat, believing him to be a police informer, in Gadchiroli district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
According to police, a group of about 15 naxalites stormed into Ramu Penka Pendam's house in Katrangatta in Bhamragadh tehsil and dragged him to the main square in the village late last night.
They summoned the villagers to the square and paraded him before them, dubbing him a police informer.
The naxalites then drove the villagers away before beating Pendam up. Later, they slit his throat with a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot, police said.
The naxalites fled into the jungle leaving Pendam's body behind.
