Man arrested for making threatening calls to MPs

New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Police has arrested a man from Madhya Pradesh's Morena area for allegedly making threatening calls to a Member of Parliament.

Gaj Raj Singh Yadav alias Lalla, resident of Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district, was arrested from Morena for allegedly making the calls to Lok Sabha member from Morena Ashok Argal on his mobile phone.

The accused had claimed to be dacoit Jagjivan Parihar and threatened to kill Mr Argal and his family.

During interrogation, Lalla admitted to making the calls to Mr Argal and another MP from Madhya Pradesh Dr Ram Lakhan Singh.

The accused was sent into police custody.

Further investigations are in progress.
