Leaders paid tribute to Potti Sriramulu

Rajahmundry, Dec 15 (UNI) Paying rich tributes, Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders garlanded the statues of Potti Sriramulu near Kotagummam and Symala centre, on his 54th death anniversary here today.

BJP President P Ramamohan Rao said any one of the districts in the state should be named after Sriramulu. He recalled that when NDA was in power it released stamp of Potti Sriramulu.

He demanded the UPA to award Bharat Ratna to him.

Several officials paid rich tributes to the great leader, who sacrificied his life for the carving of seperate state for Telugu speaking people.
