Inclusion of NCP in UDF to be decided shortly: KPCC

Palakkad, Dec 15 (UNI) Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Ramesh Chennithala today said the Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) inclusion in the United Democratic Front will be decided in a day or two.

Mr Chennithala's reaction came in the wake of expulsion of the NCP from the ruling Left Democratif Front following the merger of Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) with.

Talking to mediapersons here, he alleged that Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan was ignorant of the day to day affairs of the Ministry.

Referring to the move to hike power tariff, he said the UDF would oppose it. When LDF was in power, the Board suffered a loss of Rs 1,286 crore. When the UDF came to power, the Board made a profit of Rs 366 crore in five years.

LDF should reduce the power hike as the Board was now running in profit, he added.
