GSPC gets three exploration blocks in Yemen

Gandhinagar, Dec 15 (UNI) Expanding its international presence, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) has acquired three petroleum oil-gas exploration blocks in Yemen.

Mr Saurabh Patel, Minister of State for Energy said,''We have succeeded in getting three onshore blocks in Yemen. It is a big achievement for the state-owned company, which earlier had been awarded blocks in Australia and Egypt.'' Minister of Oil and Minerals of Yemen Khaled Mahfoudh Baharn said that two Asian oil companies -- one of Indian's GSPC and another Indonesia's PT Medco energy won three and two blocks respectively in Yemen.
