Diamond merchant commits suicide jumping from Sardar bridge

Surat, Dec 15 (UNI) Fire Brigade today has recovered the dead body of a diamond merchant who committed suicide jumping to Tapi river from Sardar bridge.

According to fire brigade sources, Sunil Rajubhai Patel(26) residing in Shivasmriti Society in Bhatar Road, jumped over the railing of the busy Sardar bridge yesterday evening.

Even after a hectic search, the fire brigade could not trace his body. However, by today morning, the fire brigade recovered his dead body from the river, sources said.

Sunil has two kids- Kavita(2) and Mayur (1).

Family sources said that Sunil was in a depressed state for some days.
