DDA interacts with prospective developers of Commonwealth site
New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) As a precursor to developing the Commonwealth Games Village in East Delhi on the banks of Yamuna, Delhi Development Authority officials today held an interaction with all prospective developers of the project.
The discussions were in connection with pre-qualification bids invited by the DDA. Almost all reputed developers from different parts of the country participated.
Financial model for private-public participation was discussed in detail. Apprehensions of the developers regarding environmental and flood clearances were also allayed by senior DDA officials.
DDA had floated an advertisement a fortnight ago, seeking qualification applications from developers for selecting a list of eligible bidders for the Commonwealth Games Village.
The shortlisted developers, after scrutiny of these applications, would be invited to bid for constructing the games village.
The village would have a residential component of 11 hectares that would have residential accommodation as well as space for other allied facilities like dinning and other things.
The village would house approximately 8,000 players and officials.
