Bihar Assembly adjourned without taking up debate on law and order

Patna, Dec 15 (UNI) The opposition today stalled the proceedings of the state assembly, forcing the House to be adjourned three times during the post lunch session, they demanded action against the humiliation of RJD member Pitambar Paswan and constitution of all party committee to probe the matter.

The special debate on law and order situation of the state, enlisted for the day could not be taken up following bedlam by the opposition members over Mr Paswan's issue.

Interestingly, the special debate was on the agenda following demands of the opposition which had earlier boycotted the House for two days demanding acceptance of their adjournment motion moved over rising crime and poor law and order condition of the state.

As the House met for the post lunch session at 1400 hrs, the entire opposition came into the well in favour of their demands over Mr Paswan's issue forcing adjournment of the House till 1500 hrs. The opposition continued its temper when the House reassembled forcing another adjournment till 1600 hrs.

The House met again but was adjourned till 1700 hrs. The chaotic situation prevailed in the House when the members came for the fourth time and it was finally adjourned sine die.
