Bangladesh's Mortaza set to top 2006 ODI wicket-takers
CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh, Dec 15 (Reuters) Bangladesh seam bowler Mashrafe Mortaza looks likely to finish as the highest wicket-taker in one-day internationals in 2006.
Mortaza took two in the match against Scotland on Friday, bringing his tally to 47 in 26 matches with another game against Scotland to come in Dhaka on Sunday.
Mortaza has one wicket more than Australian left-arm seamer Nathan Bracken, who has claimed 46 wickets in 23 matches.
Australia's Brett Lee has taken 44 wickets in 26 one-dayers but the world champions do not have another before the end of the year.
Bangladesh's Abdur Razzak and Jerome Taylor of West Indies still have a chance to overtake Mortaza.
Taylor, who has 39 wickets, is likely to play one more game when West Indies take on Pakistan in Karachi on Saturday.
Razzak took his tally to 41 wickets after finishing with figures of two for 16 as Bangladesh bowled Scotland out for 153.
