All 7 bombs were planted at Churchgate by Pak-trained men

Mumbai, Dec 15 (UNI) All seven bombs in the serial blasts in local trains in Mumbai on July 11 were planted at Churchgate station by as many teams of men who had undergone arms training in Pakistan, three of the 13 accused under arrest said in their confessional statements.

These teams travelled to Churchgate from the house of Faisal Sheikh in western suburb of Bandra in different taxis with bombs packed in black rexin bags , Kamal Ahmed Ansari said in his confesional statement submitted in a sealed cover to a local court yesterday. A copy of his statement was made available to the media by defence counsel.

Ansari and his team members purchased tickets for them and planted the bomb in first class compartment of a fast local originating from platforn number 3 at 1757 hours.

According to the plan, all four members of the team were to get down at Dadar station on the Western Railway lines. But one Salim, later identified a Pakistan national, could not get down at Dadar station due to heavy rush of incomming passengers. He was among those killed in the blast.

Ansari, a resident of Basupatti village in Madhubani district of Bihar and a former worker of the Rashtriya Janata Dal , left the city the same night for his village from where he was arrested by Mumbai police on July 20.

According to him, he had gone to Pakistan on a fake Nepalese passport he received from a Pakistani contact. He got visa from the Pakistan embassy in Kathmandu the day he received the passport in the year 2000.

Ansari , whose father had retired from an Ordnance factory in Kanpur in 1983 , reached Pakistan through Wagha border in Punjab and was trained in an LeT-run camp at Ummul Kauda near Muzzafarabad.
