45 people injured in a bus accident in Bengal

Bongaon, West Bengal, Dec 15 (UNI) At least 45 people were injured, seven of them seriously, when a bus carrying them fell into a ditch at Kadamtala on Bongaon-Chakdah road in North 24 Parganas district today.

Police here said while 20 injured were sent to Jawaharlal Nehru hospital, where the condition of seven was stated to be critical.

The rest were admitted to sub-divisional hospital.

The accident occurred when the bus skidded off the road and fell into a ditch.
