UPA govt letting down people's nationalism in Arunachal:BJP

New Delhi, Dec 14 (UNI) A BJP Member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh today accused the Manmohan Singh government of ''letting down the nationalist spirit of the people of Arunachal Pradesh'', saying External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee's statement on Arunachal and Jammu and Kashmir that ''some adjustment is necessary here and there'' set a negative tone.

Mr Kiren Rijiju said the Government's stand and the statement of the Chinese Ambassador Sun Yuxi declaring the whole of Arunachal Pradesh as a disputed territory gave out the impression that some compromise was going to be made.

It also appeared that ''we are going to loose Tawang district'', he said.

Regretting that the Government failed to summon the Chinese Ambassador to lodge its formal protest for ''his blatant remark'', he demanded the Government to bring a resolution to get the sense of Parliament on the issue of Arunachal Pradesh.
