UP Timber wins Nargis Dutt cricket championship

Lucknow, Dec 14 (UNI) UP Timber won the All India Nargis Dutt Memorial cricket tournament beating Eastern Railway by six wickets at the Northern Railway stadium here today.

After the conclusion of the championship, Principal Secretary Information Technology Zohara Chattarji presented the best Batswoman award to Rina Singh, best bowler to Apoorva Bharadwaj and best allrounder to Shweta Singh of the UP Timber team.

Eastern Railway team mustered 107 runs for the loss of nine wickets in stipulated 40 overs which included unbeaten 26 by Babu shah.

In reply, the winners touched the winning target of 108 runs for the loss of only four wickets after 39 overs. Best allrounder of the tournament Shweta Singh scored 41 runs for U P Timber.

Babu Shah, after scoring highest runs for Railways innings, took one wicket at the cost of 10 runs.
