Three of a family killed on Express Highway in Vadodara

Vadodara, Dec 14 (UNI) Three members of an Ahmedabad-based doctor's family were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck near Dumad on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express Highway today.

Police said the deceased were identified as Dr Jitendra Joshi, his teacher wife Divyani and their 24-year-old son Jaydeep. The trio, who were residents of Sarvodaya Society in Ahmedabad, were reportedly on their way to Vadodara airport when the accident occurred.

Fatehgunj police said Dr Joshi, who was driving his Ford Icon, rammed into the truck after it suddenly tried to take a turn on the Express Highway. Police retrieved the bodies of the victims using gas cutter and sent them to the SSG hospital for a post-mortem. The truck driver was absconding.
