Three killed in two accidents in K'taka

Chitradurga, Karnataka, Dec 14 (UNI) Three persons were killed on the spot and ten others seriously injured in two road accidents in this district of Karnataka today.

According to police, two Ayyappa devotees, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, were killed and seven others injured when a van in which they were travelling rammed into a truck near Rampura on State Highway 19, about 100 km from here. The victims were on their way to Sabarimala from Jalalpura near Hyderabad.

The injured were admitted to the Vijaynagar Institute of Medical Sciences in Bellary. They were identified as Ranga Reddy (28) and Sriramulu (30).

In another incident, one person was killed and three others were seriously injured when a truck in which they were travelling hit a bridge near Adivala on NH 4, about 60 km from here. The injured were admitted to the Hiriyur Government Hospital, police added.
