Threat to blow up Superintendent Engineer's office

Dhamtari (CG), Dec 14 (UNI) A threat has been received to blow up the office of the Superintendent Engineer of the water resource department in Dhamtari district headquarters of Chhattisgarh, police sources said today.

An unidentified caller called up the department chowkidar thrice last night and asked him to inform the Superintendent Engineer that his office would be blown up. Superintendent Engineer P K Agrawal was informed about the call this morning.

Mr Agrawal lodged a police complaint this morning. A case was registered against unidentified caller.

After the news, security was tightened at divisional headquarters and near Gangrel dam, the state's biggest dam, as these areas were considered naxal-affected.
