Parliament passes Dalmia Dadri Cement Ltd Amendment Bill, 2006

New Delhi, Dec 14 (UNI) A Bill aimed at empowering the Industry Ministry to dispose off the assets of the undertakings of Dalmia Dadri Cement Ltd today received Parliamentary approval with the Rajya Sabha passing it.

Union Heavy Industries Minister Santosh Mohan Dev tabled the Dalmia Dadri Cement Ltd (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Amendment Bill, 2006, that seeks to amend the Dalmia Dadri Cement Ltd (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1981, which was passed by a voice vote.

The Bill was earlier passed in the Lower House on December 13.
