One killed, 23 injured in road accidents in Kangra

Dharamshala, Dec 14 (UNI) One person was killed and 23 injured in four different road accidents in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh today, Kangra ASP Santosh Patial said today.

A person, identified as, Rajender Kumar, was killed on the spot and five injured after his Maruti van crashed into a jeep at Dard in the district.

Mr Patial said a case under Section 304 A and 279 of the IPC has been registered against the driver, and he had been arrested.

In another accident at Sadvan in the district, a private bus crashed into a hillock after the driver lost control over the speeding vehicle, injuring 15 passengers, he said.

The ASP said the injured were referred to government hospital at Jawalamukhi.

In yet another accident in the district, two people, identified as Sahib Singh and Sandeep Singh, were injured at Khazan after a private bus hit their motorcycle.

A pedestrian was injured was injured after a speeding car hit him at Nagrota Bagwan in the district, he said.

A case has been registered and investigations were on, he added.
