Nationwide strike affects schedule of trains

Bilaspur, Dec 14 (UNI) The nationwide strike called by Left-supported trade unions affected the schedule of long-distance mail and express trains starting from Howrah and passing through Chhattisgarh, railway sources said today.

The timings of some trains were altered, while other trains were running behind schedule.

The 2860 Howrah-Mumbai Geetanjali Express was running three hours behind schedule as against its scheduled time at 1405 hrs. The 2102 Howrah-Kulra Gyaneshwari Express will leave Howrah five hours late at 0430 hrs tomorrow instead of its scheduled time at 2255 hrs today.

The 3288 Danapur-Durg Express was also running unspecified hours behind its schedule.
