Motorcycle expedition by NCC Cadets to A

Bangalore, Dec 14 (UNI) In a show of solidarity with the people of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, ravaged by the December 2004 Tsunami, on the second anniversary of the disaster, a batch of 11 NCC Cadets is embarking on a motorcycle expedition 'Santhwana Yatra' to the isles from here on December 16.

The team, including six girl cadets and an Officer, would be flagged off here by Air Commodore S Srivastava, Deputy Director General of NCC Directorate, Karnataka and Goa.

The yatra, to conclude on January three, would be covering 1,683 km in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu by road, before boarding a ship to the islands. The team, throughout the expedition route, would meet the families of victims.
