MindTree showcases its IP in Bluetooth technology

Bangalore, Dec 14 (UNI) MindTree Consulting, an international IT and R and D services company, showcased its intellectual properties in Bluetooth Technology, including Bluetooth System on Chip (SoC) for Automotive Applications, here today.

Addressing newspersons here, company Chief Operating Officer Subroto Bagchi said MindTree's Bluetooth solutions include the EtherMind Software stack and a range of profiles for a cross section of products, the Blue Wiz Baseband Controller and the Bluetooth Tester software. MindTree's Bluetooth technology IP offerings have been licensed to over 25 customers across the world, he added.

He said MindTree's research focussed on building its competence in the short range wireless technology domain with a view to creating licensable building blocks that help customers achieve cost and time-to-market benefits.

Mr Bagchi said MindTree research was part of the company's services business, which combined expertise in semiconductor IP, hardware and software to offer complete product realisation services. MindTree addressed the needs of communication, wireless, industrial automation and consumer appliances industries to create their next generation products backed by strong domain expertise in ASIC/SoC Design, IP development, board, system and embedded software development.

The company had also developed Ultra Wiz, WiMedia-compliant Ultrawideband (UWB) Media Access Control solution, as part of its (UWB) program, cementing its commitment to lead from the front in the short-range wireless technology space, he added.
