MAS Group, AP Govt ink pact for SEZ

Hyderabad, Dec 14 (UNI) Sri Lanka based MAS Holdings, the largest Textile and Aparel Group in South Asia, has entered into a MoU with Andhra Pradesh Government to set up a Textile and Apparel Park (SEZ) in Nellore District.

A release here today said the 750 acre park would provide direct employment to 30,000 people and indirect employment to 45,000 people. The investment envisaged was approximately US Dollars 200 million and the expected export revenue would be US Dollars 500 million over a period of five years.

MAS Holdings, presently operated in Sri Lanka, India, China, Indonesia and Mexico with more than 30 factories.
