Labour organisations on nation wide strike today

Lucknow, Dec 14 (UNI) On the call of the Leftist Labour Organisations, various labour organisations in the state, organised a nation wide strike today to protest the Centre's alleged anti-labour policies.

Employees of various labour organisations, including Banks and Airport Authority Of India, carried out a huge rally in the busy Hazratganj area of the state capital and shouted anti-government slogans.

The workers alleged that on the pretext of labour reforms, the Centre is encouraging anti-trade Union policies.

According to reports from other districts, all shops, banks and Central government offices remained closed.
