Kingfisher meets Sona in Indian Masters Polo on Saturday

New Delhi, Dec 14 (UNI) Kingfisher First Polo will take on the Sona Polo team in the second edition of the Indian Master here on Saturday.

The best players, the biggest challenge at stake, prize money of Rs. 3.00 lakh in a winner take all face-off would be the highlights of the second ITC Maurya Sheraton Indian Masters Polo to be held at the Jaipur Polo Ground.

It will be a 17-goal level match to be played over a period of four chukkars. Kingfisher First Polo Team will have Adhiraj Singh, Vishal Singh, Basheer Ali and Uday Kalaan in the ranks, while the Sona Polo Team shall see seasoned players like Samir Suhag, Angad Kalaan, Dhruvpal Godara and Navjeet Sandhu.

Adhiraj Singh, Managing Director of Equisport Management Pvt. Ltd -- organiser of the event -- said, ''This event is the highlight of the polo calendar and we are excited about our continuing relationship with a patron like ITC Maurya Sheraton.

''The Masters is one of the highest handicap tournaments in India that caters to the serious Polo lover who will appreciate the quality of play and the competition from a purist's perspective. It is the first in a series of Polo events that will attempt to bring Polo back into the realm of the serious sport that it is,'' he added.
