Jalandhar coldest at 1.6 degrees Celsius

Jalandhar, Dec 14 (UNI) Jalandhar experienced the coldest night in the current season with the mercury dipping further to 1.6 degrees celsius at the Adampur Airport this morning.

An official spokesman, quoting Air Force Met Centre data, said that the temperature at the Adampur airport recorded a fall of 1.2 degrees during the past 24 hours.

Besides Jalandhar, most parts of Punjab remained in the grip of a cold spell recording minimum temperatures between 5 and 6 degrees this morning.

While Pathankot recorded minimum temperature of 5 degrees C, Amritsar and Ludhiana(Halwara Airport) recorded 6 degrees C.
