Israeli woman among 3 killed in bus collision

Karnal, Dec 14 (UNI) Three people, including an Israeli woman, were killed and 16 injured when their tourist bus was rammed by another early this morning at Shamgarh at NH-1 near here.

Sibas Kaviraj, SP, said that of the injured, six were Israeli and ten were from Visakhapatnam.

The victims -- Israeli tourist Naomi, 30, and Sadiq Mohammed and Sheikh Mohamedad, two youths from Visakhapatnam -- were on their way to Delhi after a vacation at Himachal hill resorts of Kullu-Manali.

The bus had stopped at a popular eatery at Shamgarh bus-stop on NH-1 when another private tourist bus crashed into it from the rear.

The injured have been admitted to the Civil hospital here and their condition was stated to be stable, the SP said.
