HSCI launches 3rd gen Honda CR-V
Hyderabad, Dec 14 (UNI) Soon after its global launch in Paris and in the US, leading car manufacturer Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), today launched the all new, third-generation Honda CR-V in the city.
Apart from the sleek and aerodynamic styling and superior performance, the new vehicle has best-in-class safety features to ensure passenger and pedestrian safety.
Honda's exclusive Advanced Compatibility (ACE) body structure enhances passenger protection and an improved G Force Control Technology (GCON) maintains a survival zone for occupants even in case of a crash.
Other safety features include Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), dual SRS airbags and three-point seatbelts with pretensioners for the safety of the occupants.
Speaking on the occasion Company's Marketing Senior General Manager Jnaneswar Sen said "in view of the growing importance of the Indian market, Honda is launching it in the country soon after its global launch.
Speaking about its positioning, he called it a "premium, urban SUV, which will redefine the SUV segment in India and change the way SUV's are viewed and driven." The Honda CR-V was first introduced in India in July, 2003 and the second-generation CR-V was launched in 2004. The new model, with several aesthetic enhancements, was also made available in manual transmission, and it further strengthened HSCI's leadership in the SUV segment. Since it was first launched in 2003, a total of 5.547 SRV units have been sold cumulatively in the country.
The Honda CR-V, which made its debut in the world in 1995, has cumulatively sold more than 2.5 million units in 160 countries.
The all new Honda CR-V comes in new range of colours offering five new shades.
