Chennai, Dec 14: Andrew Daffy, the man who makes Dinosaurs fly and Martians visit the earth in Hollywood movies, is on his maiden visit to this metropolis to share the nitty gritties of animation film making with young aspirants.

Andrew has worked on award winning projects such as 'Levis Odyssey,' 'Walking With Dinosaurs' and two James Bond title sequences as well as the bat sequence in the movie 'Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban.' In a brief interaction with mediapersons here, he recalled how he got interested in computer graphics at the age of 12 after watching 'The Clash of Titans.' As a teenager, his creative output was 3D technology which later developed into his career.

Stating that he enjoyed working on commercials like Johnie Walker Fish and Xbox Mosquito, Andrew said he never compromised on the quality and took his own time to complete a project.

Noting that lots of animation studios and schools were ''popping up everywhere'' in India, the renowned animation filmmaker said he wanted to see what was happening on the technological front in this part of the world.

However, Andrew said he was yet to watch animated films or sequences produced in India except for the Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'Krrish.' Stressing that the animation field had a tremendous potential, he said it was a wide area of activities that covered a whole range of skills and styles --creature to character, photo real to stylised and mainstream to cult.
