Haryana: Mass vaccination of bovine population
Chandigarh, Dec 14 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to start mass vaccination of bovine population in 12 districts of the state for effective prevention and control of Foot and Mouth disease.
Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha said the vaccination programme would commence in the last week of December and completed by the end of the third week of January.
As many as 32 lakh vaccinations would be carried out during this period.
Mr Chatha said this round of vaccination was fourth in the series under the Centre-State sponsored scheme named Assistance to State for Control of AnimalDiseases.
Under the scheme the bovine population would be vaccinated in the districts of Ambala, Karnal, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Rewari, Faridabad, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Narnaul, Panchkula, Gurgaon, and Mewat.
